Investigating the Resurrections (Ten, Tessa, Donna, Sarah Jane)

Donna swung the TARDIS door open and stepped outside. She wrapped a scarf around her neck and readied herself for an adventure. It had been so long! She hoped that following the Doctor around might help her gain her memories back faster.
“Doctor whats the hold up?” She asked. She listened as Tessa spoke, and frowned. “See you? What on earth does that mean? Are you supposed to be invisible or something?” Donna’s heart was pounding in her chest—already something interesting was happening, and she couldn’t help but feel like her old life was finally coming back.
“Doctor what does she mean?” Donna took in her surroundings. “I thought you said New Earth had big skyscrapers! I was looking forward to the shopping!”
Sarah Jane knew all too well that the TARDIS had a tendency to go where The Doctor was needed and not where The Doctor wanted to go. That was how Sarah Jane had ended up in 2011 when she asked the Doctor to take her home.
“I’m guessing we’re not on New Earth, Donna,” Sarah Jane leaned out the door. The woman looked human, but Sarah had learned long ago that looks could be deceiving. Well, there was one way to find out. “Hello, Tessa,” She held out her hand. “I’m Sarah Jane Smith. This is Donna Noble and…” She glanced at The Doctor unsure whether he’d want to be called The Doctor, John Smith or something else.
“Well, this is an unexpected twist,” The Doctor said stepping out of the TARDIS and looking around. They weren’t anywhere notable. “We shouldn’t be able to see you, eh? Hmm…Interesting. This,” He motioned to the TARDIS. “Is my TARDIS. It’s a Time and Relative Dimension In Space. My ship.”
There were a lot of things in this world and others that could cloak themselves go unseen. The Doctor pulled out the Sonic and did a quick. Scan.
“Kansas? We’re back in Kansas?” The Doctor shook his head. “No…No, we just left Kansas.”
The Doctor put the Sonic back in his coat pocket. “Well, then, Tessa, you say? And what are you looking for that’s keeping you so busy?”
Tessa shook Sarah Jane and Donna’s hands, smiling at them both gently. “I don’t actually know what I’m looking for. There are some strange things going on around here and I’ve been sent to investigate. I’m sorry, but that’s all the detail I can give you, unless any of you know about any strange happenings from this area of Kansas. If you’re here in a ship, then you must have come for a reason,” she paused for a moment and tried to structure her words carefully. Tessa didn’t want to lose sight of valuable information, but asking civilians the wrong questions could put the investigation in danger. “Unless you’re just passing through, I’d really like to talk about this place with you all.”

Well, I mean, you were always nice to the people in the books. Even Dean when he was in that coma and making your job harder. You’re definitely cool. How come I can see you?
-smiles- Yes, Dean’s problems were a very interesting part of my existence.
You can see me because I’m here on a mission that involves talking to a lot of people. And I can’t really do that as an invisible reaper. So who are you, by the way? All I know is your name, but I’m not very familiar with a lot of the people around here.
I’m…I’m nobody. Just…My dad got mixed up with Dean a while ago and now he’s gone. That’s how I ended up here.
Hmm okay. Well it’s good to meet you all the same. If you need my help with anything, I’m going to be around for a while.

Hello Claire, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Tessa, a reaper. Please don’t be scared that you can see me. I’m not here to do anyone harm.
Tessa? A reaper? Like…Like from the Supernatural books? Dude, me and Lucas love you. We’re huge fans! It’s really you. I mean we knew the books were real, but…This is awesome.
Yes? I didn’t realize I had fans. I don’t come into contact with living humans very often. But I guess it’s good to know that you don’t fear me.

Investigating the Resurrections (Ten, Tessa, Donna, Sarah Jane)
new-new-doctor:
Resurrections were always troubling things. There was a natural order to things and despite all that was so unnatural about the Doctor or any number of his friends by conventional standards, he was still duty bound by the laws of his people to see what he can find. Just about anything could be responsible for these types of things, but there were some logical places to start.
Ten was enjoying having Donna and Sarah Jane back at his side. It was a little strange to see Sarah Jane as she had been all those years ago, but he remembered everything he’d loved about her in the first place and Donna was still a firecracker. He couldn’t ask for a better team.
“Now this isn’t right,” The Doctor said thoughtfully as the TARDIS came to a halt far too quickly. “That should have taken longer,” He looked at the coordinates. “This isn’t right at all.”
The Doctor hurried over to the doors and pulled them open. No, this wasn’t right. The Doctor had been hoping to get to New Earth to check into their records at the hospital. If somehow some of their treatments reached Earth in the 21st Century it could somehow resurrect someone.
“This is definitely not New Earth,” The Doctor spotted a woman. “Hello, I’m The Doctor. Who are you?”
(Order: Ten, Tessa, Donna, Sarah Jane)
Tessa heard a peculiar noise and turned to see a blue…cabinet? Box? Whatever it was, a person was getting out of it and addressing her. Tessa walked calmly over to the man. “I’m Tessa,” she said, studying the man over. “What are you doing here? And what is that…thing you just stepped out of? I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m kind of busy right now, and it’s already a burden that you are able to see me.” Tessa really didn’t want to be rude to this man, but the ability to communicate with many humans at once was not something Tessa had experienced before.

Hi, I’m Claire.
Hello Claire, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Tessa, a reaper. Please don’t be scared that you can see me. I’m not here to do anyone harm.
I must say I haven't met one of your kind in a very long time. I'm The Doctor. I think we should have a bit of a chat. All these resurrections. Your boss can't be happy. Something is very, very wrong.
Hello Doctor, I’m Tessa. Yes, I have been sent to this group to investigate the resurrections. Death told me he’s not behind them, nor is he the one who asked me to investigate. I would love to talk with you about the issue.

What's it like being a reaper?

What’s it like? I can’t say it’s easy. But I was born doing this job, so maybe it’s not any worse than anything else. I’m lonely, maybe, only being able to speak with people who’re passing on. But I’m here to calm them down. It’s what I do.
This is a challenge for me, having to reveal myself in the realm of the living.
